Pulled off onto the shoulder and the gravel sent me sideways and smashed it into the sound wall. Unfortunately there was a big truck in front of me that I couldn’t see past, that whipped out of the lane without slowing abs traffic was stopped in front of them…. I had a black 2002 accord, man I loved that car…. That's a whole lot of money you're not spending and keeping in your bank account.ĮDIT: I forgot the Trail edition Tacoma adds a pair of big storage bunkers along the wheel wells so you actually get less bed space than the Maverick. I would probably go for the Maverick based on the price alone. You will quite literally be paying g double for the Tacoma what you will for the Maverick for what features? Do you think they're worth the extra money? Can you add on similar things aftermarket to the Maverick? The Tacoma is an old design by now, but Toyota is nothing if not famous for the longevity and durability of their vehicles and the Tacoma in particular.Īlso keep in mind the money that you're spending. If you haul folks around, get the Maverick as it hilariously has a bigger interior than the Tacoma. If gas mileage is a concern, get the Maverick. If you just want something to drive around and occasionally use the bed, get the Maverick. I know this is a Maverick sub but what would you guys do? Drop 48k on a Trail Edition Lunar Rock Tacoma? Or hold out and get a new Ford Maverick at MSRP? Advice and thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thank you □ĭo you need the bigger bed? Are you a serious outdoorsy type? If so, get the Tacoma. That being said, the Tacoma has a bunch of add-ons I don't need (console safe, predator steps, etc.) Just out of curiosity, I went into my local Toyota dealership to see what kind of deal I could get on a Tacoma. I preordered a hybrid Ford Maverick in November 2021 for 28k out the door, but I have no idea if/when it'll be built. I've never gone offroading before, but that's mostly because I never had the means to do so. I was thinking about finally upgrading to a small truck because I'm an outdoorsy type of person who loves to camp, hike, and explore new places, but I don't need to do any massive hauling/towing. I have a stable job and make 80k/per year. I just turned 27 (single, no kids) and I've driven a beater 2002 Honda Accord (multiple accidents, two-tone horribly faded/rusty paint job, 130k miles) since 2016. I know it's a bad time to buy a car and I'm trying to justify an arguably financially irresponsible decision.
